On Thursday evenings in May and June, I will be working at the Hennepin History Museum. I am going to create an original fabric design based on some architectural elements of the building. If you look up at side of the Hennepin History Museum building, there are beautiful carved stone medallions with floral motifs. I am going to recreate those in recycled paper (including some old Hennepin History magazines) to make three paper collages. I will scan and transform these into a repeating pattern that can be printed on fabric and will be available later in the summer in the HHM giftshop.
The museum is open late on Thursday nights and you can stop in to see the amazing exhibits and see me making art. Free with museum admission.
