Spend an hour each week stitching in this fun hand embroidery sampler class, held online via Zoom. Each week, you will learn a new stitch and complete a section of the parrots design. The 8 inch parrots panel was designed by Becka and is printed on 100% cotton fabric. A pre-washed panel is included in your class fee and will be mailed to you after you register. You provide the rest of the materials and tools for class. See list below.

You do not need embroidery experience for this class. Beginners are welcome! If you need to miss a class, it’s no problem. Becka will provide resources for completing stitched sections on your own or you can swap out a stitch you already know for any section. You can finish your panel as anything you like: frame it, add to a quilt, make a tote bag or trivet.

Featured stitches in this project: woven wheel, fly, buttonhole wheel, chain, woven cross, pistil, burden, whipped wheel, back, twisted zig zag chain, threaded running, wheat ear and sailor stitch. Class dates: July 13, 20, 27, Aug 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, Sept 14, 21, 28 (no class Sept 7)

Materials you will need for class:

* scissors

* embroidery or chenille needle

* 4 inch or 5 inch embroidery hoop

* 6 stranded embroidery floss  – Choose your own coordinating or contrasting colors. Colors include raspberry, red, orange, gold, yellow, lime, green, aqua, blue

The class sample (shown) is stitched in color matched DMC thread colors.

* If you’d like to use those colors, this .pdf lists the DMC color numbers. You should be able to find these at your favorite local craft store.
