An online class to make some of my favorite ornaments. When I was a poor college student one year I checked an origami book out of the library, bought a roll of fancy gold foil gift wrap from the book store and I made these mice for all of my friends. I found a copy of the book years later so I can teach you the same design. Registration deadline is December 9 so that your materials kit can be mailed to you.
Included in the class fee is a materials kit of everything you’ll need for class. I have put together some of my favorite materials for you:
• practice sheets of basic origami paper (so you don’t have to mess up the good stuff)
• sheets of metallic foil and patterned fancy origami paper to make finished ornaments
• and a couple of tools and handout to help you make adorable mice.
Once you’ve registered I will mail you the materials kit and email the Zoom link so you can join the live part of the class, where I will show you all of the steps to make your ornament. Class will be held Thursday December 17 • 6-8 pm Central
If you want to make extra mice or you want to take the class with another person at your same address, then choose the add on and I will put in extra materials for extra participants. This project would be great for ages 9 and up. I recommend that kids attend with an adult to help, but you don’t have to add on extra student/materials for that helper unless that person wants to make ornaments too.
