Traditional art meets technology in this class. First, you’ll design and digitally print patterned art paper. Next, you’ll wrap a bookboard ornament, using a traditional technique used for making handmade book covers. Add an animal illustration inspired by your pet or found-art collage to your design and a ribbon hanging loop. Your finished piece can be used as a holiday ornament or home decor. Bring your own tablet or laptop with an up-to-date web browser; we will have a limited number available to borrow at class. Then use some artist-made papers provided in your kit to create your own design using plant photos for reference. Your finished pieces can be used as note cards or tiny art pieces. This class is held online via Zoom and hosted by Dakota County Libraries. Registration is available through their website approximately 6 weeks before class.
