DCL Online: Squeeze Top Coffee Cup Pouch

Make a squeeze top frame pouch in the shape of a coffee cup. Learn two different embroidery stitches to stitch it from wool felt, ric rac trim and personalize it with your design. A kit with materials needed for the workshop will be mailed to you prior to the event. This program is limited to attendees with MN addresses. Presented by Teaching Artist Becka Rahn. Needle & Thread (Weekly Drop In)

Spend an hour with a needle and thread exploring the art of embroidery. Each week you’ll learn a new kind of stitch: chain stitch, satin, back stitch, buttonhole, figure eight knots and more. We’ll start by making abstract doodles with the basic form and then try out different variations to add texture and color. For inspiration, we’ll look at a few examples of each stitch used in different ways in modern and vintage textiles. Beginners are welcome; you don’t need any sewing experience for this class. This is a drop in class held every Thursday at noon (Central Time) / 6pm (GST). It is held in partnership with SoulSanity.io as part of their artmaking & wellness program and is open to anyone. Embroidered Felt Owl

Stitch your own embroidered owl from wool felt and sparkling sequins. This is a great class for anyone wanting to learn basic decorative embroidery stitches; in class we will use chain stitch, whip stitch and running stitch. You can choose to finish your owl into a pin or decorative ornament. Have another family member who would like to join you for class? Just add on an additional materials kit when you register. About the project. Owls are approximately 2x4 inches. Kit will include materials to make one owl from wool felt, embroidery thread, sequins. I will demonstrate finishing your owl as an ornament or pin. Tech details. Class fee includes a 2 hour live online Zoom class and a materials kit mailed to you before the class session. You will need to provide scissors for this project; all other materials you need are included in the kit. Please register early so the materials have time to arrive before class. A Zoom link will be emailed to you a few days before class.

Etsy Tuesday Tune Up: Questions & Critiques

A monthly "office hours" session for you to ask questions about all things Etsy. On the fourth Tuesday of the month, I will open up a virtual Zoom room for you to drop in and ask questions about anything Etsy shop related: pricing, shipping, ads, photos, descriptions. What do you struggle with? I've got three active shops and 16+ years of experience to draw on to help you figure out how to make improvements in your shop. You can drop in to ask questions or sign up for a live critique of one of your Etsy shop items. RSVP below with your email to get the link for the session.
