Join us December 7, 11am-7pm for a holiday art show & sale bursting with handmade gifts by over 15 Artists, Craftspeople and Artisan Food Vendors. Throughout the building you’ll find a festive array of clay ornaments, jewelry, art kits, tiles, glass ornaments, chocolate and coffee. Potek Glass and Clay Squared will be holding sales during the event. Other activities include Create & Chill art projects by “Art to Change the World” and make and take clay projects at Clay Squared Gallery. DCL Online: Corded Silk Jewelry

Cactus Garden Embroidery Sampler

Spend an hour each week stitching in this fun hand embroidery sampler class, held online via Zoom. This is an 10 week class, starting January 30, 2025.  Class dates: Thursdays January 30 - April 3, 2025, 12:00 – 1:00 pm Central Time. Your registration for this class includes access to pre-recorded lessons, so if you need to miss any class, you can catch up with the recording on your own schedule. This class is great for beginners. A little experience with hand sewing will be helpful. Stitches in this project will include: chain stitch (and variations), coral stitch, french knots, fly stitch & reversed fly stitch, wheatear stitch, woven cross stitch, threaded running stitches, palestrina stitch, butterfly chain stitch, double lock stitch, up and down buttonhole, berry stitch, moss stitch, knotted feather stitch. We will cover 1-3 stitches in each class session. You may have some stitching to complete outside of class time and video lessons will be available for you to review. Your class fee includes a pre-printed panel with 8 cactus blocks. Each includes grid patterns and/or placement markings to help with your stitches. Each cactus block is 4x6 inches.
