A quick crash course in photographing your small scale art work using your smartphone or a small point-and-shoot camera to capture and edit images. Learn tips for using a light box and everyday materials to light your work and basic edits that can help your photos shine on your website, social media or Etsy shop. This will be a hands-on session focused on photographing small objects (<15 inches) and you should bring a smartphone/camera to class with you and one small piece of art that you have made (optional.) Spend an hour each week stitching in this fun hand embroidery sampler class, held online via Zoom. We are going to make wool felt needle books, a classic sewing notion to store your needles and pins. You can choose from three different designs: Dog, Cat or Rabbit. This is an 11 week class, starting April 11, 2024. Class will be held Thursdays from 12-1 pm Central time. NOTE: This is the live Zoom version of the class. Your registration in this live version also includes access to the pre-recorded on-demand version of this class. The on-demand lessons parallel the live class, so if you need to miss a live session or need a refresher, you can catch up with the recorded version. Instructions on how to access the recorded sessions will be provided at the first class session. Class dates: April 11, 18, 25, May 2, 9, 16, 23, (no class May 30), June 6, 13, 20, 27. Each week, you will learn a new stitch and complete a section of the needle book. The finished books are 2.5 x 3.5 inches with a snap closure and three felt pages for storing needles.
