Hand Embroidery: Sparkling Snowflake

Spend an hour each week stitching in this fun hand embroidery sampler class, held online via Zoom. Each week, you will learn a new stitch and complete a section of the snowflake design. The 8 inch snowflake panel was designed by Becka and is printed on 100% cotton fabric. A pre-washed panel, 6mm iridescent sequins and size 8 beads are included in your class fee and will be mailed to you after you register. You provide the rest of the materials and tools for class. See list below. You do not need embroidery experience for this class. Beginners are welcome! You can finish your panel as anything you like: frame it, add to a quilt, make a tote bag or table runner. Featured stitches in this project: back stitch, figure eight knot, pistil stitch, chain stitch, coral stitch, woven cross stitch, whipped back stitch, fly stitch, blanket stitch incorporating sequins and seed beads. Ebenezer Scrooge Ornament Sew-a-long

Join me for a sew-a-long to make your own Ebeneezer Scrooge ornament. These ornaments are designed by Larissa Holland of MmmCrafts. You are REQUIRED to purchase your own copy of the Mr. Scrooge Pattern  The pattern is NOT included in the sew-a-long or materials kit. This sew-a-long is held with permission of MmmCrafts. The sew-a-long will be held over Zoom for 6 sessions, 1 hour per week. There will be homework to complete between sessions; you will not be able to finish all of the stitching/glue steps during class time. Becka will demonstrate each step of the pattern, answer questions and provide tips and tricks. Sessions are Tuesdays at Noon (CDT) October 31, November 7, 14, 21, 28, Dec 5. (There will be no recordings, but if you need to miss a session, you will have the written instructions and you can use those to catch up.) Becka will guide you through the process of designing your own fabrics with ease and inspiration, share the technical details of uploading and proofing your files, show samples of different fabrics, and walk you through the process from start to finish.

Embroidery Thursdays: Tropical Fish Bag

Spend an hour each week stitching in this fun hand embroidery sampler class, held online via Zoom. This is a 12 week class, starting January 18, 2024. Each week, you will learn a new stitch and complete a section of the tropical fish design. The two fish panels are 12x8 inches and were designed by Becka and printed on 100% organic cotton sateen fabric from Spoonflower. A pre-washed panel, and 6mm/20mm iridescent sequins are included in your class fee and will be mailed to you after you register. You provide the rest of the materials and tools for class. See list below. You do not need embroidery experience for this class. Beginners are welcome! I will pre-record a class about how to finish your panels into a handy zipper bag so that you can work along with that lesson on your own time.
