Paper box with woven cover, handmade and marbled papers
In my work I like to explore the crossover of using what might be considered traditional textile tools and techniques but applying them paper instead of fabric. Paper can be more fragile or vulnerable to being pierced or folded than fabric and I think that creates an interesting tension between forms that you might think of as soft, like ruffles or embroidery, and the crispness of paper.
