    Wood veneer, mineral oil, security envelopes and deli paper. What do these materials all have in common? We’ll use them all together in mixed media art! We’ll keep the animals simple and let the materials shine; you don’t need advanced drawing skills to make these portraits. Bring a collection of fabric, recycled and scrap papers. We’ll alter, add, embellish, stitch, and combine into some new art with an animal theme.

This beginner-friendly class introduces essential sewing vocabulary and techniques like hems, seam allowances, casings, and working with right sides and wrong sides — all by hand, with no sewing machine required.

  • Clamshell Trinket Box

    A intro to the art of cartonnage or box-making. We will make a small clamshell style box, entirely made from paper. You will choose from handmade and patterned papers to make your cover and inner liner.     Bring a little holiday magic to your stitching with this whimsical nutcracker class. Choose from three different designs: a classic nutcracker, a festive dog, and a cheerful cat.
